Fields Are Meant for Frolicking – Joe & Tara’s La Provence Wedding!
12:05 AMWedding dresses are meant to be worn, adored by all, rivaled by none…and put through hell if means we are to be left with the perfect set of photographs to remember ones’ most perfect day.
Joe & Tara’s wedding at La Provence was visually, one of my favorites shoots ever. I’m a child at heart so the idea of rolling around on grass, running through fields, and getting utterly lost in the unknown wilderness is a dream come true; except on August 10th 2014 it wasn’t just a dream, it was my hustle =)
Having never been to this venue before, I flew into Sacramento with an excited yet anxious expectation of what I’d be working with. However knowing Joe and Tara’s impeccable taste in all things cool, it was only a matter of time before the most glorious open field I’ve ever seen came into view. We’re talking about giant trees, oceans of golden grass, and quite frankly a limitless backdrop that would take a year of continuous shooting to completely cover. The wedding day was awesome…Joe and Tara got married, a bunch of friends were there, and the food was crazy good. Their wedding party was mad fun to hang out with and all the grape juice we sipped on came from Joe Uncle’s place in Napa, Modus Operandi!
I will say though, the definite highlight of the day was exploring the huge wilderness by the venue knowing that Joe and Tara were right there with me and just as excited to forage through the tall grass…facing down the bugs, branches, and all!
Joe & Tara’s Review via WeddingWire:
John Yao? More like, John "Wow".
John is like that old friend you haven't seen in a while- trustworthy, easy to get along with, and brings with him a sense of ease. But don't let his mellow attitude fool you - He is a strict professional that takes pride in his craft and oozes passion in everything he does - Look at his portfolio and you'll see what I mean.
To sum it up, he made us feel comfortable that he would take care of what needed to be done (and then some). He was responsive to our emails, and most importantly, made the engagement photos and the wedding shoot fun! I have no reservations with recommending John.
